In a well thought out opinion, why do you think the phrase, "In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial," is in the Constitution? Is it to protect people from what the government might do to a person if the trial was private or do they want to publicly shame the people who have been accused of committing crimes?
