You will use these notes for all speeches, so keep them throughout the course.
- Personal Experience Speech
Personal Experience Speech
Your first speech is a personal experience speech. This can be any experience, good or bad, that you can speak about for two to three minutes. Outlines are REQUIRED for every speech. Without the paperwork, one cannot pass the class.

This will be your second speech for summer school. This one is more difficult because you have to TEACH us how to do something. You MUST demonstrate something. Don't forget to bring all of the supplies!

This convince speech assignment will be based on choices with a BRIEF introduction to research. You will get an article for your topic and use the information within that article to present using in-text citations and creating a works cited page. This will, then, lead into more advanced research and documentation for your more detailed speech to convince using a different topic of your choice.

It is extremely important that you understand how to cite your sources and complete an accurate works cited page to avoid plagiarism. You will also be tested over this information.

This is going to be a longer speech on a topic of your choice. You will choose a topic that you believe in (cannot be one of the school policy speeches) and persuade us to also take your side. You will research on your own using the LMC databases. You are required to have sufficient support from your research, and you must also use at least three sources and a dictionary or dictionary.com.

Here is the special occasion speech. There is a worksheet you will fill out prior to making a desicion attached to the assignment sheet. This speech is graded differently, so it may benefit you to review the evaluation form as well. Have fun with this speech!
